Tier 1

THUNDER BAY reigns atop every team in the state with a thrilling 5-3 win over the previous champion Swamp Donkeys.  Zach Boorman, Kevin Spinella, and Matt Langielle all added 2 points, and Alex Bliesner was the clear MVP, Stopping 35 of 38 shots.  For the donkeys, Jake "the snake" McCarthy netted 2, and Raj Mueller added an assist and a goal.   With the win, Thunder Bay claims the "Best of the Best" title.  Anyone out there wants a shot, im all ears.

Tier 2

No Regretzkys wins the Tier 2 Championship 4-3 in Overtime over the hard pressing CCT Movers.  Zach McGrail earned MVP honors with 2 goals, and PJ Gehris had the game winner with :24 seconds left.  One of the best games of the session.  For the movers, Captain Troy Miller had a goal and an assist, and Eric Pellish and Jacob Hendrickson had the other goals.  Congrats to Tony Pacileo who had a double hat, double trophy night.

Tier 3

The Loose Cannons defeat Monkey Shot 5-2 (EN), to win the Tier 3 Championship.  John Leonard (3 goals), and 'tender Kurt Rhodes (25 daves, 27 shots), share MVP honors, as Zach McGrail and Evan Davis also scored for the Cannons. For Monkey Shot, Chase Millen and Ronnie "zoom zoom" Williams had the two goals.

Tier 4

The Trash Pandas dominated from start to finish, clinching the championship with a 9–3 victory over Ryan Oil Company. From the drop of the puck, the Trash Pandas controlled the ice, striking early and often. Their offense was relentless, peppering the opposing goalie with high-quality chances and finding the back of the net in every period. Dylan “MVP” Gillis led the scoring surge with 3 goals and 1 assist, while the defense and goaltending shut down nearly every offensive push from Ryan Oil.

Tier 5

The Americans STUN the Mighty Shrimps with amazing team play and win the Tier 5 Championship 6-5.  The shrimps took an early lead and led the game 2-1 after 1 period.  Tommy Ralsten was a man/boy possessed, scoring a Hat trick in the game.  The Americans stayed the course (pardon the pun), and led 5-3 after two periods.   Mason Rock earned MVP honors with 2 goals and 1 assist, as the entire Americans team were relentless in their back checking pursuit.  For the Americans Ryan Bollacker added two goals and Al Lassen had 2 assists.  Colin Rock alos had a goal and an assist and the Game Winner.  JT "Ted" Nugent and Tyler Matukakis had the other goals for the Mighty Shrimps.   In pre game interviews, American Co-Captain and nice human Mike Belair was quoted as saying " You know, im fvckin 64 years old and im sick and tired of chasing these kids around, our average age is 50".  The CHL Brass did some research to determine that in fact the American team average age is in the 30s, but we didnt want to tell him that.

Tier 6 - North

Shut Yer 5 Hole does the unprecendented, and goes UNDEFEATED 12-0 and wins the Tier 6 North Championship.  This is a team for the ages, as they finished the season with the most points (63), the least goals against (26), and spread the puck around, getting points from 17 players.

Dom Brescia was stellar in net, stopping 19 of 20 shots, CO- MVPS -Mike Kelly and Kris (GW) Slate both had a goal and an assist, and Reid Hannan added one as well in the victory.  For RE Paradise, George Jordan had the only goal of the game.

Congrats to Nick Veronick and the SY5H team on an incredible and well deserved Championship.

Tier 6 - South

The Flamingos absolutely ROUT the Growlers 9-0 to win the Tier 6 - South Championship.  Captain Brendan Pelletier had 2 goals and 2 assists in the win, and goaltender Zach Sansone stopped all 30 of 30 shots in the win, including a highlight reel "showtime" stop in the 3rd.  MVP honors go to Matt "Natural Hat Trick" Jacobs who put up 3 on one shift to break the former champs spirit.

Tier 7

No Dekes and REP battled for the Tier 7 Championship.   The game was 0-0 after 1 period, 0-0 after two periods, but then, in a stroke of genius the "time out Cafe" switched from Free popcorn to free Red Bulls and the place went crazy leading to a Fred "the barker" Valenti goal, assisted by Matt Bennington.   Mark "MVP" Berrian held things together in net for the No Dekes and pitched a shut out in the win.  No helmet toss, no net flip, nothing.

Tier 8

As the Red Bull from The Tier 7 championship began to take hold in the stands, OG Train led by MVP Tim "i don't understand concepts" Dibble ( 2G 1A), defeated the Slashers 5-3 to win the Tier 8 "Beginner - Learn to Play" Championship. Cole Sciascia had 2 goals for the Slashers.

CWHL

The Titan defeat the Tano Pool Sharks in the CWHL Championship! The first period was a tough battle with both teams trading chances but unable to break the deadlock. Goaltenders on both ends came up big, turning away quality shots and keeping the scoreboard clean. After a fast-paced, physical period, the game remains scoreless. After trading rushes and opportunities in the second, each side capitalized once, keeping the game tied at 1-1. Another hard fought battle in the third period with neither side giving an inch and ending regulation time with a tie. But then, just 2 minutes into OT, Mikayla Castro strikes gold and buries the championship winning goal! MVP honors goes to the Titans goalie, Sarah Gionfrido, who had a hell of a game and helped keep the Titans in it to win it!
